Lowerland Die Verlore Bokooi 2021

Lowerland specialises in small-batch, natural wines from fully organic vineyards in Prieska, South Africa. Their high altitude desert climate, with cooling river breezes, yield grapes with small berries and wines with complex concentrations of fruit. Doing everything in harmony with nature, they believe in their mantra of producing wines from "soil to soul". Die Verlore Bokooi 2021 is a blend of 39% Shiraz, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot and 20% Merlot. On the nose there are powerful red fruit notes followed by herby geranium and rosemary aromas and a liquorice sweetness. The palate brings flavours of ripe wild blackberries, bramble and mint leaves followed by dark chocolate, salted almonds and a lingering finish of white pepper. A big wine for big occasions.
